Frequently Asked Questions
I really don’t know what kind of volunteering I am interested in or what to expect. How can I learn more?
A meeting with our Volunteer Advisor is a great way to get you going with volunteering. We can provide resources to help you find the right opportunity to fit your interests. We will also explain the process and how to get started.
After an interview with a Volunteer Advisor, who is responsible for contacting the organization I would like to volunteer with?
Our NSCR Volunteer Advisor can provide, and in turn you can connect with the organizations that interest you.
My English is not perfect but I am working hard to improve it – are there opportunities for people like me?
Yes, there are lots of volunteer opportunities on the North Shore that require different levels of skill and English language capacity. Volunteering is a great way to improve your English and sometimes having an additional language can be an asset for certain volunteer jobs. Give us a call and make an appointment to talk to one of our Volunteer Advisors who can help you explore the best fit for you.
